Meet Zana

Zana's story

As a proud mother of three daughters, I have learnt that some of life's greatest lessons come from the people we share it with. Motherhood has deepened my understanding of patience, resilience, connection and the many roles we hold throughout life. It has also strengthened my appreciation for the challenges people face while trying to care for themselves and the people they love.

I have always found psychology fascinating. I am deeply curious about why we think, feel and respond the way we do, and how our experiences, relationships and circumstances shape the person we become. What continues to interest me is that no two people experience life in exactly the same way. The same situation can affect people differently, and understanding those differences is what makes every person's story unique.

Throughout my life and career, I have developed a particular passion for supporting people through the moments that can feel overwhelming or uncertain. I enjoy working with young people as they find their feet, develop confidence and navigate the challenges of growing into who they want to become. I also have a strong interest in supporting men's mental health, influenced by growing up alongside four brothers and recognising the different ways people experience and express their challenges.

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood. Whether someone is navigating relationship difficulties, family conflict, grief after the loss of someone they love, stress and dissatisfaction in the workplace, the challenges of parenting, or wanting to break patterns and habits that are no longer serving them, I value being there to listen, understand and support people through those experiences.

Outside of psychology, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching my daughters play soccer, walking along the beach and appreciating the simple moments that bring balance and connection to life.

The experience

What is a session like?

At Bayview Psychology, sessions are centred around understanding you as a whole person, not just the challenges that have brought you to therapy.

Your initial appointment is 80 minutes, allowing time to explore your experiences, relationships, background, values, strengths and the different parts of your life that have shaped who you are. Taking the time to understand the bigger picture helps create a personalised approach that reflects your individual needs.

Together, we will explore what has brought you to therapy, what you would like to change and what support may be most helpful for you.

Each session provides an opportunity to reflect, gain understanding and work towards meaningful change at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
